]]> I know there’s a few of you out there dying to get hold of this new ebook, QR Codes for Business, so my sincere apologies that I am a bit behind today. I was up at 4am to go off to do a car boot sale- thought it’d be fun but it didn’t just rain, no, the heavens opened above us and stopped all chances of selling!

All that happened was I got wet, was cold, tired and to make it worse I had to put everything back from my car into it’s last home – our loft! As time went on I went into a slow decline and so will need to launch tomorrow or Monday.

Just what are QR codes?

It seems to me that almost everyday we hear about a new method of promoting our business online, some are better than others, some work, some don’t. Some ideas are expensive and some are free. But usually with free comes that huge learning curve that takes up our time!

So not free after all!

QR codes are, in my opinion different, because they are not rocket science and they do open themselves up for an almost unlimited range of applications. Your mind is your only limitation.

So for those of you who haven’t heard of QR Codes – here’s what they are:

A QR code is a barcode that is readable by a mobile phone.

It’s a tool to perform an action -

You get the mobile phone user to scan your code for instant access to one or many of the following:

  • Your website
  • Directions to your venue
  • Your contact details
  • Your product range
  • Your offers/promotions
  • Your discount vouchers/loyalty card
  • Your special events
  • You can get them to buy products/services from you instantly
  • You can link them to your social media pages
  • You send them to watch videos and so on …..

The reason I love this concept is that:

  • You can make it a fun way to communicate with mobile phone users
  • It’s a very cheap method of marketing
  • It’s an ‘opt-in’ method of accessing new prospects/customers
  • It’s easy and so simple to get started with.

So that’s a bit about it but I will soon be launching my new book that outlines how your business can start to benefit from these little barcodes.
